The PhenoMeNal consortium has been working hard towards establishing contacts and integrating with other European infrastructures. As part of this initiative, Ola Spjuth, presented PhenoMeNal and the use of Virtual Research Environments (VRE) in dealing with sensitive data at the Nordic Tryggve2 Kickoff on 7 November 2017 in Märsta, Sweden. The Tryggve 2, is a project within The Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration (NeIC), consisting of the Nordic countries such as Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark and is hosted by the Nordic ELIXIR nodes. The presentation was well received and we are very excited to announce that PhenoMeNal has been adopted as one of the use cases in the project. Ola’ research group will also contribute to the Glenna2 project, another activity, within the NeIC. The collaboration will focus is on making the PhenoMeNal Cloud Research Environment (CRE) available on the Nordic clouds, and work on features such as data and compute federation capabilities.
We look forward to our contributions to this great Nordic initiative!
