Date: Friday 6 July 201810:00 –  11:00 (BST)

Abstract:

Metabolomics datasets are the outcome of biochemical events ruled by enzymatic reactions. All these reactions, and related substrates and products, can be gathered in a single object called a metabolic network or in a list of metabolic pathways. In this webinar, Fabien Jourdan, INRA,  will first present how pathways can be used within the PhenoMeNal environement in order to identify which ones are relevant for a given metabolic fingerprint. To do so, Fabien will present basic concepts on enrichment analysis and examples on the Sacurine workflow of PhenoMeNal. The webinar will also discuss how these networks are built, modelled into mathematical formalism (graph) and used to provide biochemical insight on metabolic fingerprints.
