Data Sharing, Standardisation and Workflow for reproducible analysis in Metabolomics

Venue: Metabolomics 2017

OrganiserMetabolomics Society data standard Task group and PhenoMeNa H2020

Date: 26th June 2017

Workshop Synopsis:

The PhenoMeNal consortium in collaboration with Metabolomics Society data standard Task group organised a workshop on Data Sharing, Standardisation and Workflow for reproducible analysis in Metabolomics during Metabolomics 2017 in Brisbane, Australia. The workshop was focussed on data sharing as well as metabolomics data formats, much of which are adopted from the efforts in the proteomics HUPO-PSI initiative, including examples and application of data formats such as mzMl and nmrML. The workshop also demonstrated mzTab developments for metabolite identification and how emerging metabolomics data sharing platforms can promote open, accessible data sharing standards. Computational workflows for metabolomics data analysis within the PhenoMeNal e-infrastructure were also showcased during the workshop.
